Dynamic Duo
We're Binja & Tiny
What happens when a Liberian-Indian meets a Congolese-Kenyan? What happens when a boisterous extrovert pairs up with a reclusive introvert? And what happens when a free-spirited unicorn crosses paths with a badass ninja?…
An extraordinary fusion of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences!
Meet Binja and Tiny, two moghels (home girls) from both Anglophone and Francophone Africa, united by a shared passion for storytelling and making a sustainable impact.
Binja and Tiny are unapologetic girl bosses, tech and digital space disruptors, creative influencers, and investors, with their fingers firmly on the pulse of what’s happening—and what’s yet to come—across the African continent. Together, they form a powerhouse duo behind several entrepreneurial ventures, including Unwomanly Media Group & Unwomanly Media, a multimedia technology and communications conglomerate, network, and production company built by African women, for African women.
Unwomanly Media was created to uplift marginalized voices, empower African women, and provide the recognition they deserve for their impact on the continent. The company serves as a formidable catalyst for promoting gender-responsive, inclusive media that reflects the true diversity and strength of African women.
Join us in amplifying the voices of African women and making their stories heard, because the future is female, and it’s African!
We started Unwomanly Media because we saw a glaring gap in how African women were represented in the media. As African women ourselves, we recognized that our voices, stories, and contributions were often sidelined or misrepresented. The media landscape was dominated by narratives that didn't reflect the true diversity, strength, and power of African women. It needed a shift, a platform that would not only elevate our voices but also reshape the way the world views us.
Unwomanly Media was born out of a desire to empower marginalized groups, validate the incredible impact African women are having on the continent, and foster a more inclusive, gender-responsive media environment. We wanted to create a space where African women could see themselves in the stories being told—stories of resilience, creativity, leadership, and innovation. A space where African women would not only be seen but celebrated for who they truly are.
We believe that media has the power to shape culture, and we wanted to be the catalysts for that change. We wanted to provide a platform that speaks to the complexities of our identities, our cultures, and our futures. Unwomanly Media is about changing the narrative, uplifting African women, and ensuring that we are seen, heard, and valued for the unique and powerful role we play in shaping the future of Africa and the world
It’s not just about telling our stories—it’s about creating a movement that amplifies African women’s voices and creates lasting impact across all sectors.
